It is written that the Word came down, and everything that is, is because of this Word. The people of the world beheld the glory of this Word but after a time the people sought to kill the Word. The Word which was the light of the world became the discerner of the wrongs that lived in the world. The traditions that men had heaped up for themselves became obvious; That they taught the commandments of men and not God. This was brought to light by the Word they despised.

Men being the vile creatures that they were sought to kill the Word that had created them. They connived until their plan was executed. And so, the Word of God, the Word that existed before the foundation of the world, the Word that saved and continues to save; was slain. Killed because men refused to acknowledge their sin.

This is the Word my brothers and sisters that will continue to save, continue to lead and continues to forgive us for the sins we commit. God gave us His Son that through Him we would come to recognize that He is the only way to eternal life. The Son (Word) has been preached to us more times than we care to remember, the Word has revealed the evil in this world and yet we do not turn from it. The Word has continued to show us mercy but yet we still continue to defy. The Word has called to us saying “sinner come”, but we do not heed.

You and I have killed Christ more times than we can count. We have the blood of our redeemer on our hands, and we are called to repent and go back to the fundamentals of this world, The Word. The Word was and still is the light of the world, let us use it to bring light and warmth to the corners we find ourselves in. Let us proclaim the Gospel to the world.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Many will turn you away but for the sake of the One you crucified, the one who died in your place; it is your mission and your duty to preach the Word.

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

Romans 1:16
And so, the words of Paul are of great relevance to us who are called:

Preach the Word
"I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry." 2 Timothy 4:1-5

Until the next one, stay faithful!
